The vision is to renovate the house and build a refugio, with a studio designed for the bare essentials: shelter, tools, and the raw inspiration of solitude in the wild.
Fully remote and off-grid, it stands disconnected from networks, and the plan is to be totally self-sustainable and immersed in nature.
This is the current condition of the only building that exists on the property. Known by the locals by the name ‘Mas de Cocoti’, but appears on the maps under ‘Mas de Doto’.
It was built in 1930 on the ruins of an older building with an unknown history. The house was used for agricultural purposes, we assume that they would keep in it donkeys and haystacks, and perhaps served as a refuge for the people when attending the land. It has been abandoned for unknown number of years.
In the first phase of the project we plan to renovate it and use it as the main indoor space that would house accommodation on the ground floor and a studio in the first floor.
